There are several ways to do herringbone stitch but this is the way that Make and Do Crafts teach it.
- Pull the needle up from the back of the fabric and sew a row of diagonal stitches.
- When you get the end of your row of diagonal stitches, take the needle down below to start a second row and then create another row of diagonal stitches that are going in the opposite direction.
- And there you have herringbone stitch.
