Gold is a tricky colour to mix. Here is one method to try using acrylic paints.

Mix the primary colours, red, yellow and blue together in equal parts to create brown.

Mix this brown with white. Then add yellow.

You will create a yellow that’s the closest you’ll get to gold without a metallic sheen.

When trying to depict gold in a painting, avoid using ready-mixed paint with a metallic sheen. It will look odd when used next to the other non-metallic colours.

Experiment with the colours you have to try and create a colour similar to gold.
